The Shih Tzu is a companion dog with many wonderful qualities. Beautiful and oriental to look at. Extrovert, bouncy characters, who are often comical. Incredibly affectionate and friendly, as well. The best friend you could ever choose.
I lost my heart to the breed on my first meeting with a Shih Tzu, when I was a teenager, babysitting two children and a puppy. You can guess who got the most attention!
A Shih Tzu craves to love and attention, be prepared for his company twenty four/seven, or be indulgent and keep more than one.
Be warned, however they are addictive!
